Casa Verde, and the long morning in Oaxaca

A courtyard stay where breakfast arrives slowly and the rooms open onto lime trees.

Casa Verde sits a short walk from the centro. The rooms face a courtyard planted with lime and jasmine. Guests wake to birds and the sound of water in a shallow fountain.

Breakfast is served at a low table near the garden. Warm bolillo, black beans with hoja santa, and coffee poured at the table. The staff keep the morning quiet.

The house holds twelve rooms. Details are simple: linen, stone floors, and shutters that open onto green light. It is an easy place to stay for a few days without a fixed plan.
